HS-LS4-5: Evaluate the evidence supporting claims that changes in environmental conditions may result in: (1) increases in the number of individuals of some species, (2) the emergence of new species over time, and (3) the extinction of other species.
Objective(s) (Learning Target{s})
We will familiarize ourselves with terminology involving geologic time and how it affected certain species.
 
Agenda
  1. Bellringer
  2. Introduce Vocabulary for Unit 7: students will be assigned 4 terms and share the definitions with the rest of the group.
  3. Begin notes on geologic time and how it affected certain organisms and the extinction of others.
  4. Exit Slip based on vocabulary and/or notes from today.
 
Homework Construct a geologic timeline. Include 4 major eras and the major geological and biological events.
