Whew, ACT testing is finally over! My apologies to all my students; I really appreciate your patience in going beyond the normal schedule. An especially big thank you to the students who actually DID their work that I assigned. Your effort did not go unappreciated.
Here's what's in store for this week: 1. IS periods 1&2: we're studying the Periodic Table of Elements and using it to identify and classify all the various elements. We'll identify all the metals, metalloids and non-metals. then we'll distinguish between all the various classes, including alkalis, alkali-based earth substances, noble gases, etc. We'll be coloring our Periodic Tables on Tuesday, using that to answer questions on Wednesday and Thursday, and then a review, quiz and video omniscience's Friday. 2. Biology period 4: We're working on Unit 8, which deals with classification. Tuesday, we'll review notes and some exercises. On Wednesday & Thursday, we'll work with interpreting a dichotomous key. Friday, a quick Quizizz exercise and a video. If we get through this week, then we'll be ready for Spring Break all next week! Hang in there. UPDATE: just found out that Spring Fest will be during 3rd and 4th periods on Friday, so scratch the whole Quizizz thing for Friday.
